Ivona graduated with a degree from the University of Economics in Prague. Following her graduation, she worked for the Czechoslovak and later Czech customs administration for ten years. During her career in customs administration, she primarily focused on the customs tariff and origin of goods. She held the position of Director of the Customs Policy and Tariff Section at the General Customs Directorate for four years. She completed a business policy course in the World Trade Organisation (WTO), participated in negotiating free trade agreements and engaged in numerous multilateral negotiations in the WTO, the World Customs Organisation (WCO) and the EU. She was a lecturer in the customs administration’s training system and in the public courses.
For more than ten years, Ivona provided advisory services in one of the “Big Four” companies. She engaged in customs planning, customs audits, AEO certification and providing practical solutions for import and export transactions.
Since 2012, Ivona has been working and applying her experience as a customs consultant. Her clients include leading manufacturing, distribution and logistics companies. In addition to the advisory services, she facilitates lectures and publishes articles in the economic press. Ivona speaks Czech and English.
